Not sure what to expect but by the middle I couldn't put it down.
This is one of the best series I have read! I know that this is only supposed to be about Studies of Beasties (which is a great book), but I am on the third book, and I have to say that this series only gets better with each book. I look foreword to reading about more of Iona's adventures!
Great story! Can see the series being really great. Starting on book 2 now to see where and what Iona does next.
I saw this touted as 'Harry Potter for grownups', I don't think that is an accurate description. I do however love this series. Each book is interesting and well written. I look forward to the further adventures of Iona Adair.
I thought it was a slow start but I kept reading and I'm so glad I did. This is a great series! Can't wait for the next book in the series to come out.
I almost never buy books, not with so many resources (library, free books on ) available. But when an ad popped up on my facebook wall it actually caught my eye. So I downloaded the free sample of the first couple chapters and I was hooked.
Iona (main character) is very relatable, if a little whiney, and the author really brings it all to life. Many unexpected twists and turns along with interesting, vivid characters. I definitely suggest giving it a read and I can't wait to read the second book. Good job, Ms. Letson.
This one started off slow and a bit confusing but soon enough it took some turns I didn't see coming and I found I was enjoying how all the characters were developing. I couldn't help but to order the second book as soon as I finished.
